  • Synopsis: The stunning sequel to Sarah J. Maas' New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses and a No.1 New York Times bestseller.  Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court - but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people. Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court.

  • As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms - and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future - and the future of a world cleaved in two. With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights. Older teens will love A Court of Mist and Fury. Contains mature content. Not suitable for younger readers.
  • NOTE: Well, I have returned after a long hiatus.. :D I feel like a vampire, back from the dead hah. How is everyone doing?? Hopefully some of you still remember me *teardrop* I  had gotten busy with work and college, and blogging felt like a .. chore to me. I know, I know.  I only had time to read, although I still reviewed sometimes on goodreads. I missed blogging & my book buddies though! I went on vacation for a while, and I also got married.. :) so congrats to me.  A lot happened this year lol.  I also work as a beauty & skincare specialist so I'll also be posting makeup, lifestyle, and beauty looks in between, most reviews will be about books still! I will try to update this blog atleast twice a week now.. as time goes on, I'll start updating it  4-5 times a week. I changed my username from feminitsreflections to beenazai because it feels more personal, Beena is one of my nicknames and Zai is short for Sudozai which is my husband's last name on social media, it's not his real last name though lol it's our caste if that makes any sense. P.s I took a year to come back *yikes*
  • A Court of Mist and Fury is my favorite book this year..  Feyre and Tamlin have escaped from the clutches of Amarantha. Feyre is now stronger than ever since she is now resurrected from the dead,  and she was saved due to the seven High Lords of the Courts. She cannot seem to move from the past because she has taken innocent lives before to save the person she loves, Tamlin and his kind. As the novel progresses both Tamlin and Feyre cannot seem to comprehend what they both have done to save the people they love. Neither has she has forgotten the bargain she made to the High Lord Rhysand of the Night Court, the most powerful High Lord in history.
  • A Court of Mist and Fury was the most highly anticipated book this year, and it passed my expectations of it.. This is the most beautiful and funniest book I have read this year. previously, I had made a WOW post on it. I have read the author's previous work before, Throne of Glass was a disastrous series in my opinion, still I wanted to give the author another try. I read the first book in the series, and I did like a lot but I felt it was a bit boring with the romance and very little fantasy. This book is SO SO SO MUCH BETTER.  A Court of  Mist and Fury has a beautiful cover, and the title suits it as well. If you are team Tamlin, boy you will be disappointed. Tamlin is missing for about 70% of the book, most of his role comes in the beginning.  Like the previous book,  this does have it's fantasy elements although, you get a glimpse here and there. Like most of the author's books, she focuses on romance a lot. The plot was fantastic though and I sure didn't see that ending coming.
  • Feyre has so much character growth in this novel - she has spunk, attitude, and she's badass. She's not the same person she was in the first book.. literally, she's not a person/mortal. She still has her human heart though and the feelings that humans tend to feel. I liked her much better in this novel than in the previous one, she acted too much like a Cinderella in that one with her "I'm badass, but I secretly want to be saved."  She's witty, wise, and smart. Not booksmart since she doesn't know how to read, but she is creative and she can think. Tamlin, Tamlin.. I liked the romance of these two although, I thought Tamlin had a sweet, but boring personality. He is was kind.. He's not snarky or witty like Rhysand or Lucien though. Lucien was my favorite character in the previous book, but hello Rhysand.. I didn't like Rhs in the previous book, and I thought he was vile and abusive, but this novel changed my mind. I actually read the first novel twice comparing the Rhysand's in there back and forth. I was wondering why did I hate him in the first novel? The first book actually explains why he acted in such ways with the writer's indirect cues. This novel makes you understand Rhys more.. He's hilarious, arrogrant, but so snarky and actually not..vile. I also appreciated Rhys inner circle in here especially Mor and Cassian. The friendship aspect was great in here, and I loved how females leaded in the  book. It's amazing when a strong male can apperciate a strong female and doesn't always want to protect her.
  • The romance was swoon worthy and steamy.. It's the kind of romance I like in novels. It starts off with hate then becomes genuine friendship. I didn't even mind that the romance took more than half of the book.  I didn't mind the love triangle,  now that everything is explained and it makes so much more sense now. I thought I was loyal with Tamlin, but this novel has you rooting for the other male lead. Sorry Tam. The romance was one of my favorite aspects of this novel, it was swoon worthy and steamy. I don't want to go  into too many details of the romance because it might spoil it. READ THE BOOK THOUGH. IT IS AMAZING. I LOVE RHYSAND AND I LOVE  FEYRE, AND MOR, AND  CASSIAN.. AND LUCIAN. HELL, I EVEN LIKE NESTA HERE.
  • The magical aspects of A Court of Mist and Fury were amazing. This had so many plot twists I couldn't imagine what would come next. There's things happening here that you would not even expect to happen. This is really my favorite book this year, I love every single thing about it. There are about four plot twists in the novel. If you read other reviews, you can probably guess two of them, I couldn't though but OMG  the other two twists are insane. I didn't expect that at all. The next release date is so far though..  This novel is much longer than the first book so enjoy. I had to finish it in one setting which took about 4-5 hours. The writing is compelling, mystical, majestic, and beautiful. I believe I was teary at two parts - one that was very depressing and one at the near end. I am so excited to read the third installment in this series! I hope the author comes out with pre-equals or standalones of the other characters in the novels such as Mor, Cassian, Azreil Nesta, Elain, Lucian, Amren. You grow to love all of them, and you wonder how their stories will be continued. There were so many fantastic quotes in the novel, it was very difficult to choose the best! I have others, but those spoil the story a bit. Enjoy the book as much as I did. I already have re-read it *giggles*
“To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys."
Rhys clinked his glass against mine. “To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered.”

“He thinks he'll be remembered as the villain in the story.
But I forgot to tell him that the villain is usually the person who locks up the maiden and throws away the key.
He was the one who let me out.”

“When you spend so long trapped in darkness, Lucien, you find that the darkness begins to stare back.”

Recommended for fans of Beastly, Red Queen, and Throne of Glass.
