1) Books.
I adore books, a lot more than makeup which might seem odd because I blog a lot about beauty. It's confusing to some people, because I might seem like a superficial person with my clothing & makeup, and then I'm holding a book in my hand or my kindle. I do book posts as well. I can spend hours reading, but I hate spending more than thirty minutes doing my makeup. I like being more knowledgeable than just looking pretty all the time.
2)New York City
I love my city! Every other blogger on here dreams to live here, I'm one of the blessed ones who does. I just love this city because it's home for me. I have lived here my whole life - I wouldn't think about leaving it ever. On a plus, there's such a variety here! Diversity everywhere, people are so much more open minded here. The fashion is huge here, really happy I get to attend Univerity & also work in Manhattan! Although, New Yorkers come across as cocky, but hey we live in the "best city in the world" :)
3)Kashmir.
Kashmir is a city in Pakistan where I'm originally from. I was born there, and came to New York at five years old. I love Kashmir even more than New York, because you can't compare to the natural beauty they have there. The sunsets, lakes, mountains, snow, forest life they have there is simply amazing. This will always be MY personal number one city/state.
4) Independence.
I'm one of those people who's spoiled by their family constantly since I'm the daughter as well as one of the youngest. I have never really had to work anywhere since my family has always been my support. I turned 20 last year, and I wanted to do something of my own. My mom begs me to quit(lol) I wanted my own money, not my family's. So I started working at Macy's, and now I'm working as a Bookseller. These aren't my permanent jobs forever, as my dreams and aspirations are much higher. I love that I can use my own hard worked money now, I'm free to go out and make something out of me now. I like being independent, not the type to look at other people's money and go digging for gold.
5)Seeing People Smile.
I believe, one of the best things you can do it make someone smile. I like it when people smile and are friendly. It's even better if you get a grumpy person to smile :D Seeing people smile, and making others happy makes me happy.
6) Late, Long Night Drives.
I love driving late at night! It's empty, which is the best part. The wind in your hair, loud music, empty streets are amazing. I love it even more when you're with people :)
7)Babies/Children.
Yes, I love kids. Some of them can get annoying, but I still like them. They're adorable, and their innocence is to die for. They make me smile :) I can't wait to have my own kids one day Insha'Allah.
8)Sunsets.
How beautiful are they .. One of the bad parts of living in New York is, that there are mostly skyscrapers here and huge buildings. However, I love seeing sunsets in open areas, the colors are just perfect.
9)Writing/Brainstorming.
I don't have a personal e-diary with me, but I do keep a journal/planner where I write my thoughts. Not personal thoughts, just things I have to do, wishlists, stories, poetry, school life, classes, work life, ideas to blog, contest ideas, goals/aspirations, book ideas, books to read, and so on. It's like my outline to what i want to do.
10)Classic Old Movies.
Titanic anyone? I really dislike most of the new movies that are out nowadays, they can never compare to the old amazing classics. Gangs of New York, The Godfather .. Why aren't movies like that nowadays? All I see it dirty scenes, dirty dancing, and dumb story lines - such as Fifty Shades anyone? (Don't kill me.)
11)Long Beautiful Hair.
I've had long hair since forever now, It's like my traditional trademark for me. I like short hair too, but you can't do much with it. Longer hair is open to more variety and hairstyles. Mines up to my waist, want it two inches more longer - no more than that. I don't want to be Rapunzel now.
12)Piercings.
I adore Piercings, I have about 11 piercings - don't worry all in the halal(blessed/right) places. I have 5 piercings in each ear and one in my nose, that's about it. I would like more, but my religion doesn't give me permission for that.
13)Red Lipstick.
I love bright, red lipstick for a more dramatic look. It just gives me a spurge of confidence! It looks great in the winter time, plus you can always wear it more a night out.
14)Photography.
How amazing is it that you can capture a beautiful moment forever? I love that you can look at just a picture, and all the memories that came with it come back. I love taking pictures of landscapes, scenery, and people.
15)Drawing & Painting(Art).
Technically, those are two things mentioned but eh, let it be. I have been drawing and painting since I was about seven years old. I've taken Art Studio Classes for the past four years - I mainly draw, sketch, paint, make collages, make mosaics, pottery and so on. I bascially love all forms of Art, you can do so many things with it. It's a form of creativity for me, my own unique style that no on else has.
16)Dimples.
I lalaloveee dimples! Unfortunately, I'm not blessed with them. I just love them on people, especially children. It makes someone much more attractive and beautiful.
17)Anklets.
I'm not a huge jewelry fan, I don't really like huge statement jewelry unless on special occasions. I like smaller jewerley such as traditional rings, and small anklets.
18)Loud Music.
I listen to basically everything, well not everything - but close to it. You will always see me with an earphone on, sometimes I even fall asleep listening to it. I'm addicted to my ipod!
19)The Rain.
Yeepp, I love the Rain so much that I don't even carry an umbrella with me. Most people dislike the Rain, but I love it. I love the smell of it and the sound of it. Everything is so much more funner in the rain, I don't really care if my clothes get wet or my hair is ruined. Messy is fun!
20)Blogging.
I love writing, so I'm pretty happy I have a space to write my thoughts down and share it with you all! I'm really glad where my little blog has gotten so far, and hopefully it gets even more bigger soon Insha'Allah. Thank you for the love as always, I've gotten to known some amazing people on here :) Best wishes to you all.

DeleteLovely blog! I'm very motivated and an independent person as well! I find my blog a great place for personal expression, even if I barely have a reach. Working retail is hard work, I'm personally more suited to a restaurant environment, but I want to try retail again, maybe at Club Monaco or Aritzia. New follower btw!
ReplyDeleteThank you hun!
DeleteI agree, retail is hard work for such minimum wage, oh well got to start from the bottom :) Some places are easy going, most are just too much ..
i love the one where you said seeing people smile. Lovely :)

DeleteKashmir isn't in Pakistan. Its in India
ReplyDeleteThey're used to be one Kashmir, but the partition divided it. Jammu Kashmir is in India, and Azad Kashmir is in Pakistan.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThat's sad. Its used to be one, it should've been one. Would've been so proud to have someone like you from my country
ReplyDeleteAww that's so sweet - hopefully one day we'll have our own country i'A!
