Ten Thousand Skies Above You

Claudia Gray

  • Publisher: HarperTeen
  • (November 3rd, 2015)
  • Genre: Science Fiction, Teen
  • NOTE: This is part of a series, the synopsis has spoilers of the previous book.
  • Synopsis: "Marguerite Caine has done the impossible, traveling to alternate dimensions with the Firebird—the brilliant invention of her parents, her boyfriend, Paul, and their friend Theo. But she has also caught the attention of enemies willing to kidnap, blackmail, and even kill to use the Firebird for themselves. When Paul’s soul is splintered into four pieces—pieces that are trapped within Pauls in other dimensions—Marguerite will do anything, and travel anywhere, to save him. But the price of his safe return is steep. If she doesn’t sabotage her parents in multiple universes, Paul will be lost forever. Unwilling to sacrifice her family, Marguerite enlists the brilliant Theo to help. The two forge a plan to save Paul and the Firebird, but succeeding means outsmarting a genius and risking not only their lives but also the lives of their counterparts in every other dimension. Their mission takes them to the most dangerous universes yet: a war-torn San Francisco, the criminal underworld of New York City, and a glittering Paris where another Marguerite hides a shocking secret. Each leap brings Marguerite closer to saving Paul—but her journey reveals dark truths that lead her to doubt the one constant she’s found between the worlds: their love for each other.."

Top 5 reasons I want to read this:
  1. Beautiful Cover. Aahhh.. I'm in love with this cover *STARES* The previous cover was my favorite of 2014, I didn't think any cover could beat it, but this one is just as lovely. Whoever the cover designer is, I salute you. I really love the watercolor effect *shuts up now*.
  2. The premise sounds quite interesting - I'm getting more into science fiction, and I have read and reviewed the previous book A Thousand Pieces Of You here. I didn't love the book, however, I was intrigued enough to read the next installment in the series - I do believe the titles should be switched though, the pieces part goes with this one. I did like the overall and concept of the novel, so let's see.. I changed parties, I'm rooting for Theo now!
  3. I'm eagerly awaiting for this book to come out soon, hopefully I can manage to snag an ARC before the release date! November is such a long time ..
  4. The hype is crazy on Goodreads so far, It looks like it might be a bestseller again. I'm quite looking forward to reading this book soon!
  5. Publishing Company. It's going to be published by one of my favorite publishing companies, and I usually like their books :D

Shukran for reading this! Leave your blog links in the comments & I'll be sure to check them out & drop by :) Stay in tuned pretty creatures..

  15. Seriously, HOW did they manage to outdo the last cover? I adore this cover even more, somehow! I thought the first book was okay, didn't quite live up to its potential, BUT I liked it enough to want to read this one, and from the sounds of the synopsis, it sounds quite good! I hope we both can find ourselves a copy before November :)

  16. I thought the first book was okay... a bit formulaic for me, but I liked the science fiction. I probably won't end up reading this one, but that's okay. I hope you love it when you read it! Thanks for visiting my blog!

  23. I still haven't read A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU, but I have heard both good and bad things about it. The fact that there is heavy romance seemed to turn some people off, but I love romance so I don't think that will be a problem with me!

Unfortunately, I really don't like this cover! There's just something about the colours that completely puts me off. Which is so sad because I ADORED the cover of the first book. Who knows - maybe it's prettier in person than on screen.

I love the Sammy GIF, by the way! ^.^

    1. Hmm, maybe it could be the contrast of the colors whereas the previous novel had more pastels? Hope you check out this series for yourself soon Chiara, the romance does take away from the novel, but it is swoon worthy ♥
