Makeup Reviews | Maybelline, Mehron, Elf Cosmetics + more.

Saturday, May 10, 2014

I wanted to do this review on many different items that were sent to me, thank you to Blue Sky Pr!* They're not a cosmetics company of some sort, but they are a PR service that handles many companies media and advertising such as Maybelline, Laura Geller, Toofaced, Mehron, E.L.F cosmetics, etc. I received so many goodies from them in exchange for an honest review. I love it when companies/pr services let you choose the products you would like, it's a sweet gesture that they care to send you what you like. Thank you Blue Sky Pr for the wonderful products!

I received the products:

The E.L.F Baked Eye Shadow Palette in California($10) comes in neutral, warm colors. It comes in 10 baked eye shadows. I can create a soft, natural look with these colors.  It's quite pigmented and the packaging itself looks gorgeous! I love the cover, it's so sleek and stunning.  The price works quite well for this palette, it's affordable. I thought it would be much more expensive looking at the design and colors.

It seems highly similar to the Sephora's Moonshadow Baked Palette($30) though. They're probably manufactured by the same countries. It's not as sparkly or vibrant, the colors are more warm and less intense. However, when applied wet - it's incredibly intense! They're not as glittery as they seem, so don't worry! It gives off a nice shimmer, and beautiful looks can be created by it.

If you cannot afford the Sephora one, I would recommend this one. They're pretty much similar in design and colors. You'll be getting it for a much lesser price. I personally believe, E.L.F cosmetics are really nice. They have similar things ; pricey brand for a much reasonable price, they work great and are pretty affordable.

These are the swatches for the E.L.F baked Eyeshadow Palette, the colors are more on the neutral side, but they look lovely.

Laura Geller - Glam Lash Mascara($24) It's very black, which I liked. It's made out of jet-black long wearing formula. However, it doesn't work for me. It makes my lashes very clumpy. Also, it does smudge quite a bit. You can find this on the website or Ulta Beauty.

I absolutely love this Physician's Formula Organic Wear tinted moisturizer($11.95)! Organic products are amazing, and it is paraban and cruelty free. It's made out of jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil, avocado oil, and shea butter. The packing is green which I loveeee :) It's quite natural and leaves your skin in a flawless finish. I love that just a small amount of this makes a difference to your skin. It makes my skin radiant and glowy, I don't even need actual foundation afterwards. It hydrates my skin a lot and evens it out.

It has an Spf 15 which helps nourish and and protects my skin from environmental damage. Good coverage for an affordable price. It won't cover every single imperfection in your skin though, it's not a complete foundation. I don't wear foundation on a daily basis, and tinted moisturizers work perfectly for me - It's very sheer and light weight, and gives a natural look to help enhance your beauty. It does have a weird, musky, organic smell to it.

Maybelline Age Rewind (Prices range from $10-$14) products are beyond amazing!  It's made out of natural products which really interests me,  it's made out of natural gogi berry My favorite product(s) out of the bunch since they help conceal and "rewind" your skin. . Even though, it's not exactly meant for my young skin since it's "age rewind"- It still works great on my skin, i used to have enlarged pores, and this helps minimize it. I still like using it. It doesn't make my face cakey or flakey, and it blends quite well.

My most favorite would have to be the Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer, this works better as a actual foundation that a concealer (lol). It's really natural yet leaves me with a flawless complexion. I would say, it's one of the best concealers or foundations out there. No matter what age you are, these products will work for you! They create a very natural finish. I love that it's an eraser, you can roll it on your face/neck and just blend with your hands, brushes, or beauty blender. Below are the swatches.

Mehron Aura Bronzing Gel($24.95) is quite shimmery, and natural. It's not too dark or too light, just the radiant and natural amount to have a glowy look. I believed it was too light at first, but gives a more radiant, shimmery glow once I noticed the difference. You'll never feel like you have too much products on, this is a lovely product - the color brown/gold looks beautiful. It gives a natural-looking glow, and is quite light weight. I love that it's in gel format, compact blushes can be frustrating sometimes.  It's also oil-free and paraban free. It's quite versatile, and can be used on the body as well and not just the face. Here's the difference between my sisters hand. The one on the left is the after result. It works lovely for a bronzed-shimmer look!
Toppik Hair Building Fibers ($24.95) is a product that works on improving hair loss or hair thinning. I don't have any of those, so I experimented a bit on people. It's a good product that gives the image of "full hair." It's not a hair growth enhancement product, so don't be scared of using this. It's more powder than hair.  It' an original product that gives off an illusion of hair. I wouldn't recommend using this in the pool or wearing it in the rain, you will just drip from your head. This can be purchased on the website or from Sephora.

When the products first arrived, the packaging was in pink tissue paper. It was a pretty sight, there was a delay in the shipment though. I believe I received them in two weeks. The products work quite well, I really loved some of the products they had sent me, Maybelline works amazing, most of the time on all skin types! I would recommend E.L.F Cosmetics and Mehron as well! I would give the products overall a 4 out of 5.
The customer service is friendly overall. Most of the products are affordable, although some are expensice but most work nicely for their prices. You can learn more about this PR service company on their website :)

I hope you guys found this review helpful, thank you for reading as always..  Leave your blog links in the comments & I'll be sure to check them out and follow :) Stay in tuned beautiful people xo
