A Court of Thorns & Roses inspired Art series ♥

Thursday, January 05, 2017

First post of January, happy new years everyone!
I created an inspired art series from A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah J. Maas for my art project during the Fall semester.
hope you guys like it :) This is one of my all-time favorite series, and I always imagined the descriptions and words that the author used which led to this fun project. My drawings have always been more feminine, dark, and more on the sensual side. They're pretty much dark as my soul *lol*

Fun fact about me: I have been drawing and painting since I was 6 years old, I have formal art training of five years.
I used drawing pencils, compressed charcoal for the thicker lines, vine charcoal for shading, and a lot of erasing! Tell me what you guys think x I'm thinking of making an art series for the next installment A Court of Mist & Fury -  should I or Should I not?

Once upon a time.. there was a young, human girl by the name by Feyre
From her childhood, she's accepted that she should stay silent in front of her two evil sisters Nesta and Elain.

She grew up to be a beautiful young woman. Her simplicity was her beauty. During the day, she hunted for food for her family and survival.

On a terrible, terrible day she went hunting into the enchanted forest. She kills a wolf.. or how she thought it was a wolf, but he turned out to be a Fae.

Soon, she is whisked away to to the haunting mansion of High Lord Tamlin of the Spring Court as a retribution for killing a Fae.

*SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ THIS PART IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS SERIES.. In the end, Feyre becomes her true self in all glory.. A Fae. Unfortunately, it's not happily ever after because Rhysand still exists.. and this series continues onto A Court of Mist and Fury.

Shukran for reading this! Leave your blog links in the comments & I'll be sure to check them out & drop by :) Stay in tuned pretty creatures..

  14. I have to admit that I have not read the books myself, so if there is a meaning which really relates to the books, I will not have been able to catch it. But when it comes to art for the sake of art and its beauty, you have a lot of talent, Benish. I love these art pieces!
