A Personal Tale + Stop Bullying. ♥

Femme's Reflections is a feature I created on my blog to share my personal reflections.

I thought I do a post about a very serious topic, bullying.. A lot of people suffer from it, I've suffered from it as a kid as well. Let's help end bullying and put a smile on everyone's faces now :) Instead of bringing people down, let's bring them up. Some people believe bullying isn't that serious and others are dumb if they let others get to them.. well sorry to say cupcakes, but NOT everyone is like you! People are created identical, we're all bones inside but our personalities are different. Cyber bullying is just as dangerous, sometimes even more because it's verbal abuse they're getting. I don't understand the point of hating, why waste your time bringing someone down? Bullying leads to suicide guys, it is harmful and not healthy .. Today, you called someone a "fat cow." Do you want to have the guilt of their suicide tomorrow? Treat people the way you want to be treated.s

When people go online, don't cyber bully them - instead make them smile.
Other people believe it's okay to pick on someone. Some do it and say "I'm just messing with them. It's just a joke." Again, you seriously need a reality check! That's not an excuse to make a fool out of someone and your own too.

My personal story
I suffered from bullying when I was six years old - I just remember this grumpy kid used to bother me. I would go home from school and during the bus ride, he would sit next to me and pull my hair really hard. He'll bother me, go through my things, steal my food and money, and say "You're weird" and call me other names as well. This went on for a couple of months, I didn't know how to stop this. He was in fifth grade, while I was barely in second. As a kid, I was pretty small. I'm still small, so it makes me an "easy target." Finally, I put an end to this and told my mother. She told the bus driver, and the kid got in some big trouble - probably suspension. I never saw him after that, he left me alone.

That was one of the most proudest moments of my life, I mean come on? I was six years old guys and I stood up for myself! You can and .. should too.

Book Reviews| Recent April Reads.

Thirteen Reasons Why
Jay Asher
Published: October 18th 2007
Publisher: Razorbill
ISBN: 1595141715
Genre: Teen/Fiction
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Synopsis: "Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush who committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, debut author Jay Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.
My Thoughts:
I really loved this book, this was one book that made me really cry in a while. This makes you feel all kinds of emotions, it was a roller coaster ride for me. I would really recommend this! I picked this up since it was a highly rated popular book, it really opened my eyes. I've always hated people that like to pick on others. Hannah wasn't bullied directly, but indirectly she was. It's a realistic book, that teens and Adults should read. It's about things that occur in high schools, rumors spreading and the horrible affects it has on victims. The end has a life lesson, so please learn from it. When you see someone suffering, help them. Even when they push you away, still help them. They will thank you in the long run.

Beauty & Skincare Reviews

How pretty does this look! :) Thaankyou to Natures Esscents for sending these lovely products! These are made specifically by the owner, natural and handmade body products. I really liked the Cucumber Melon Body Butter - it seemed greasy, but it dissolves pretty quickly into skin earsing the greasiness. Scents smell amazing and they work pretty well for your skin! Really yummy,They have almost any kind of scent in stock, and can work with you with international shipping. The packing is cute as well, reminds me of a spa at home.

The Vanilla Pomegrante Sugar Scrub makes your skin super soft & like anew - all of these products were fun to use! If you need a nice, relaxing bubble bath than these are the products for you - they have a variety to chose from. Good thing they don't really have chemicals in them, and you guys know I'm addicted to organic/natural products :) They're a great alternative to Lush Cosmetics.

I mustache you a question, have you tried this hilarious kit? If you haven't tried this amazing thing, then you should! This is a beauty must. A lot of companies promise "hairless skin" but this is an actual legit one that works for an afforable price. The packaging is really cute, and easy to carry around with you in travel bags. It's really good for getting rid of the upper lip hair, it comes in small strips made just for it - instead of cutting small pieces on your own, these are ready made. They give a light sting, just pull it off quickly. Instead of going to salons every week, you can simply use this. It will save you about 12 salon trips, it is $16 each so you will save you about $150.

Moxi Brushes + Organic Products | Reviews

Hello beautiful creatures,
I hope you're all well. I thought I'd update my blog earlier since I'll be busy tomorrow with University & a formal I will be attending, so I won't be able to blog on my daily routine. I'll blog on Friday though & update you guys on the event, reviews, books & etc :) Thank you so much for reading my past posts and the lovely feedback I received xo

I'll do another review today of the products I've been sent. I always feel so blessed when I receive lovely packages in the mail in exchange for an honest review, I love trying on new products & love it even more when they're good! These products are all amazing. You can find individual posts about these products on my instagram :)
                                                                    Moxi Brushes*
Thank you to Moxi Brushes for sending me these lovely brushes! I couldn't wait to receive these brushes in the mail - all the way from the UK, I was quite happy.

It was really kind of the owner to still send me her products, even though I live in a different country. I was one of the first to review these overseas in the US :) I received  these two brushes MOXI Flat Top Angle Brush and the Angled Eye Liner Brush.

I was looking for some good brushes and these are amazing! These brushes are a MUST HAVE, I would recommend these for sure. It's so nice when the company takes time to carefully wrap an item just for you, gives off the luxurious feeling. They design individual tubes for each brush, so they would not get damaged - more than satisfied that I received them in one piece! I hate when things break during shipment.  The packing was lovely, I've never been so pleased with brushes before. They have great customer service - I had a long week or two conversation with the owner Michelle - she's very friendly and interactive. The bristles are ultra soft, I was just brushing it against my face again & again. The handles are pretty solid, I do believe they will last a fairly long time. My favorite would have to be the Flat Top Angle Brush!

Actually the best looking brushes I currently own, the rose gold design is beautiful. These work really well for contouring, highlighting, and applying eyeliner. Quality brushes and you can snag them for an affordable price. You can get these from the website moximakeup and you can use my code MOXI10BK to get a 10% off of any items & your whole purchase - it ends April 30th so don't miss out guys! The prices are quite affordable plus you're getting an additional discount. Not to forget, they have free delivery in the UK for a limited time! What more can you ask for ? :)

Battle of the Genders| Double Standards♥

Femme's Reflections is a feature I created on my blog to share my personal reflections.

Hi everyone, hope you're all well ! Thought Id' update my blog with a new post. Thank you for the love as always xo This post is about double standards. These double standards exist comparing men and women. I really hope to expose these standards and together we can make a change ..
Oh, how I hate double standards ..
1) Men are considered more dominant, and women are considered more submissive.

Traditionally, this has been common. Men belong in the outside field and women are supposed to belong to the kitchen. What's wrong with being in a kitchen? That's how you survive smarties! Although, a woman is NOT supposed to be confined to a kitchen. She can make her own choices, and NOT bow down to her husband. You're not supposed to accept defeat in front of human beings anyway. Who are humans to decide one's submissive and one's dominant? I don't mind if the man protects the woman, that's sweet but not every woman needs a saving. These silly One direction songs saying "I'll heal you" or "I'll save you".

Uhm.. kids you are not even fully mature yet, the only thing you will save is your pretty face.
